Be Great Update on 2016 State Youth of the Year, Michaella M. from Greater Newark Boys & Girls Club
Michaella M. is now a sophomore at Howard University. This past summer she participated in the University of Virginia’s Summer Medical Leadership Program. She continues to thrive at school and keeps herself busy as President of the Collage of Arts & Sciences (COAS) Sophomore Council, Coordinator for the COAS freshman experience program, Volunteer Coordinator for Camp Kelsey, Community Service Chair for the Freshman Leadership Academy, Member of the 1867 Undergraduate Assistanceship Program, Member of the Ladies of the Quad Social Club, Volunteer Tutor for Petey Greene program and volunteer at her local Boys & Girls Club as a tutor, mentor and coach. We are tired just reading about Michaella’s commitment to extracurricular activities – but let’s not forget her dedication to her studies. Michaella has maintained a 3.61 GPA and is on target to earn a 3.8 for this semester!
Way to BE GREAT Michaella, you make your home Club and the entire Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware proud!
